Chairman of Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee Dr Baburam Bhattarai met with CPN (UML) chair KP Sharma Oli on Thursday.
Oli and Bhattarai discussed federalism and other disputative issues of the constitution in the meet.
Bhattarai is working to gather consensus on these issues by September 30.
The parties had failed to forge consensus by September 6, the original deadline of the CA schedule, after which the deadline for reaching an agreement was extended to September 30.
If consensus is still not reached by September 30, the CPDC Committee will present the issues before Constituent Assembly along with a questionnaire, which the CA will take into process from October 7.
Committee chair Dr Baburam Bhattarai was looking into issues pertaining to federalism while the Dispute Resolution Sub-committee was working on issues other than federalism.
Bhattarai will brief the committee about the discussions held on issues pertaining to federalism on September 26 in the CPDC meeting.
